Michael Haynie, Alex Brightman and More Cast in New York Premiere of ThanksKilling the Musical ThanksKilling the Musical, adapted from the cult horror movie of the same name — about a possessed turkey on a deadly mission to avenge his tortured ancestors — will make its New York debut at the first annual Festival of the Offensive.

Produced by David Eck, in association with Ashley Kate Adams and AKA Studio Productions, the Equity Approved Showcase of ThanksKilling will receive four performances as part of the Festival of the Offensive, which will be presented April 29-May 4 at The Producers' Club (358 W. 44th Street).

Directed by Eck with choreography by David Rossetti, the cast includes Diana Huey (Miss Saigon at Signature Theatre) as Kristen the Virgin, Brandon Espinoza (Triassic Parq) as Johnny the Jock, Julia Mattison (Godspell) as Ali the Slut, Evan Woltz (ThanksKilling at Balagan Theatre) as Billy the Hick, F. Michael Haynie (Wicked) as Darren the Nerd, Abe Goldfarb as Random Guy, Marissa Rosen (My Big Gay Italian Wedding) as Random Girl and Alex Brightman (Big Fish) as Turkie.

Musical direction is by Aaron Jodoin.

ThanksKilling, which features music by Jeff Thomson and lyrics by Jordan Mann, was conceived in partnership with David Eck and is adapted from the film by Jordan Downey and Kevin Stewart.

Balagan Theatre presented the world premiere of the musical, which ran Nov. 29-Dec. 14, 2013, in the Cornish Playhouse Studio at Seattle Center.

ThanksKilling, based on the film of the same name, "is about five college kids headed home for Thanksgiving break who cross paths with a homicidal turkey possessed by an ancient Indian curse," according to press notes. "Horror and hilarity ensue, as the teens must stop the manic bird before he kills them all."
