News Julian Clary Joins London Cast of Taboo

The Boy George musical Taboo gets a new cast member on Sept. 9 with the arrival of Julian Clary in the role of performance artist Leigh Bowery, a role previously played by Boy George himself, Matt Lucas and Mark Little. Euan Morton continues to head the cast as the young Boy George.

Clary is best known as a television presenter, having burst into the medium after winning a reputation in clubs and pubs as The Joan Collins Fan Club, an act in which he appeared with his pet, Fanny the Wonder Dog. Although he works principally on television (and appeared in the belated and less than well-reviewed Carry on Columbus in 1992), he is also a popular stage performer in pantomime.
