News Julie Gold Celebrates New Solo Recording May 2 at the Metropolitan Room Songwriter Julie Gold, whose work has been sung or recorded by Patti LuPone, Karen Mason, Carol Woods, Betty Buckley, Elaine Paige, Lea Salonga, Andrea Marcovicci and Kathie Lee Gifford, has recently completed a new CD entitled "Love Is Love Is Love."

Gold, who also wrote the Bette Midler hit "From a Distance," celebrates that recording May 2 at 7 PM at the Metropolitan Room. The evening features tunes from the new disc as well as old favorites.

Gold will be joined by Emily Bindiger and Margaret Dorn.  Bindiger also produced the new CD.

The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street. There is a $15 cover charge and a two-drink minimum; call (212) 206-0440 for reservations.
