"This irreverent yet affectionate cabaret explores the life of much-loved star Dame Julie Andrews, and her relationship with her adoring fans," press notes state. "Award-winning singer, West End actress and Fascinating Aida star Sarah-Louise Young intertwines Julie's songs from musicals including 'Mary Poppins,' 'The Sound of Music' and My Fair Lady with stories and anecdotes, from her beginnings as a child star to the challenges of losing her singing voice. What emerges is a candid love letter to a true show business survivor."
Young's stage credits include Cabaret Whore and Cabaret Whore Encore! as well as Fascinating Aïda. She is a member of the musical comedy improv troupe The Showstoppers.
Oscar winner Andrews has starred on Broadway in The Boy Friend, My Fair Lady, Camelot and Victor/Victoria. Her motion picture credits include "The Sound of Music," "Mary Poppins" and "Thoroughly Modern Millie."
