June Havoc, then and now

She won't be doing kicks nor tricks, but June Havoc will be entertaining NY audiences March 29 and 31 when she reads from her new memoir, Vignettes, at a benefit for the Abingdon Theatre Company. Havoc, whose childhood helped inspire the Broadway musical, Gypsy, will tell of her memories as vaudeville star, Baby June. A question and answer session will follow the readings.

Havoc's post-vaudeville roles include a stint as Miss Hannigan in Annie in 1982, and Mrs. Lovett in the Sweeney Todd national tour.

For tickets, $25, to Vignettes at the Theatre Row Theatre, 424 West 42nd St., call (212) 736-6604.
