LOS ANGELES -- Just Another Day, a new comedy by Lance Whinery, opens Feb. 19 at the Flight Theatre in the Complex for a five-week run.
"As we grow older in this world, we are forced to realize that every day is really just another day -- even the important ones," said the playwright in a recent interview, "and that perhaps the greatest impact our lives receive are found just sitting around the living room with our closest friends.
Just Another Day focuses on a couple of key days in the lives of two best friends as they examine their approach to women and friendship. The first act takes place 40 minutes before the two go on a double date, with the second act picking up the action two years later -- 40 minutes before one of them is to be married.
The cast includes Lance Whinery, J. Patrick Lawlor, Rachel Reenstra and Kim Campoli. The director is John Christopher Stuart; the producer is Brian Robles.
Performances are Thu.-Sat. at 8 PM and Sun. at 7 PM. The Flight Theatre is located in The Complex at 6476 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood. For tickets, $10-15, call (310) 823-7189. -- By Willard Manus
