News Kaiser and Loughery Will Be Next Guests at The Temperamentals' TalkOut Mondays Charles Kaiser, author of "The Gay Metropolis" and John Loughery, author of "The Other Side of Silence," will be the next guests in the TalkOut Mondays series following the March 22 performance of Jon Marans' The Temperamentals at New World Stages.

The Temperamentals is directed by Jonathan Silverstein and stars Thomas Jay Ryan (In the Next Room) as Harry Hay and Michael Urie (ABC-TV's "Ugly Betty") as Rudy Gernreich. Hay and Gernreich were a real-life couple who founded the first gay rights organization in America in the 1950s. Kaiser's "The Gay Metropolis" details the history of American gay life. He is a founder and former president of the National Gay and Lesbian Journalist Association's New York chapter.

Loughery's "The Other Side of Silence" includes a chapter on Hay. His biography, "John Sloan: Painter and Rebel," was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.
