Akers will play the Hotel's Royal Room Dec. 31. The $250 charge includes Akers' performance, dinner, champagne and dancing. The chanteuse is also scheduled to sing in the Royal Room Jan. 4-8 and Jan. 11-15. Doors open at 6:45 PM for the 8 PM show with late shows Fridays and Saturdays at 10 PM. There is a $55 cover charge for the show or an $85 charge for the show and dinner.

In addition to her work in the Tommy Tune production of Nine, Karen Akers also starred on Broadway in another Tune-directed musical, Grand Hotel. Her feature film credits include "The Purple Rose of Cairo," "Heartburn" and "Vibes," and she was seen in an episode of the hit TV series "Cheers." It's been the concert/cabaret stage, however, where Akers has garnered the most acclaim, performing in choice venues throughout the United States and Europe. Akers' recordings are numerous; her eighth solo recording, "If We Only Have Love," is available on the DRG label.
