Singer-actress Karen Mason, who stepped into the role of Norma Desmond for 150 performances of Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles and New York, returns to the Windy City for a three-week cabaret engagement at Davenport's Cabaret in Chicago, IL, March 24-April 11.
Mason had christened the new club with a gig back in November 1998. Her most recent New York turn, in December 1998, was at the Laurie Beechman Theatre with her annual Christmas concert.
Mason currently has two CDs out -- "Not So Simply Broadway" and "Better Days" -- and she'll be autographing both at a Tower Records signing March 27 at 2 PM. She'll also perform a number or two at the Lincoln Park store.
For tickets and information on Karen Mason at Davenports, 1383 North Milwaukee Ave., Chicago call (773) 278-1830.
