News Kate Baldwin, Howard McGillin, Julia Murney and More Celebrate Songs of Jule Styne Tonight The Broadway Close Up series continues Dec. 8 and 10 with I've Heard That Song Before - Songs of Jule Styne at the Merkin Concert Hall.

David Loud is the musical director, arranger and host. Show time both evenings is 7:30 PM.

Performers include Tony nominee Kate Baldwin (Finian’s Rainbow), Tony nominee Howard McGillin (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Julia Murney (Lennon), Matthew Scott (Jersey Boys) and Sally Wilfert (Assassins).

The evening's first act is presented in the style of a 40s radio show featuring Styne’s movie songs written with Sammy Cahn. The second act, in the style of a 60s TV variety show, includes Styne’s Broadway songs.

Jule Styne is the composer of such Broadway classics as Gypsy, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Peter Pan, Bells Are Ringing and Funny Girl.
