Actress Katie Holmes will strut her stuff on the July 23 episode of FOX television's dance competition series "So You Think You Can Dance." Good Vibrations associate choreographer and frequent "SYTYCD" guest choreographer Tyce Diorio will stage Holmes in an homage to showbiz legend Judy Garland. Holmes will sing and dance her way through one of Garland's signature tunes, "Get Happy," from the 1950 film musical "Summer Stock." Director of photography Dion Beebe will collaborate on the classic Hollywood routine.
Here's Garland's performance:
Holmes, who made her Broadway debut last fall in Arthur Miller's All My Sons, is a founding member of the Dizzy Feet Foundation, which provides scholarships and assistance to underserved youth. Dizzy Feet was co-founded by "SYTYCD" judge and producer Nigel Lythgoe, Hairspray director Adam Shankman and “Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba. Tonight's episode marks the public introduction of the Dizzy Feet Foundation and also commemorates the 100th episode of the popular dance series. Tune in from 9-10 PM ET live on FOX.
