Set two more places at the table for the 10th annual Broadway Dreams Supper fundraiser December 12 at The Plaza in New York City. Katrina Lenk (The Band’s Visit) and Adrienne Warren (Tina: The Musical and a Tony Award nominee for Shuffle Along) have joined the roster of luminaries who will perform at the event honoring Heather Headley, who won the 2000 Tony as Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in Aida.

Headley will also be treated to performances from previously announced fellow Tony winner Jessie Mueller (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Waitress), Tony nominee Denée Benton (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), Quentin Earl Darrington (Once On This Island), Noah J. Ricketts (Frozen), and the Grammy Award-winning duo A Great Big World.

Headley’s other theatre credits include playing Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard—The Musical in London’s West End and her return to Broadway as nightclub singer Shug Avery in the Tony Award-winning revival of The Color Purple. She won the 2010 Grammy Award for “Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album” for her third studio album, Audience of One.

Also scheduled to speak at the Broadway Dreams Supper will be some of Headley’s collaborators, including The Color Purple director John Doyle, Wicked choreographer Wayne Cilento, Oscar winner Alexander Dinelaris (Birdman, The Bodyguard—The Musical), and author Susan Fales-Hill.

The mission of Broadway Dreams is “to make world-class performing arts education accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic status.”

“At Broadway Dreams, we believe that musical theatre is the great equalizer, bringing together those from disparate cultures and communities and reminding us all of our shared humanity,” says Broadway Dreams founder and president Annette Tanner. “This year, we are honored to pay tribute to Heather Headley—a living legend who embodies our ethos and whose talent, commitment, and dignity has provided our students worldwide with endless inspiration.”

The Plaza (formerly the Plaza Hotel) is located on 58th Street at Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Click here to order tickets.

Headley is also scheduled to appear as a guest at December 13 and 14 concerts with Andrea Bocelli and Kristin Chenoweth at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
