Benefits and Galas Katrina Lenk, Beth Leavel, Telly Leung Will Perform at Theatre Forward Gala David Yazbek and the works of the late August Wilson will be celebrated at the annual event.

Theatre Forward, which is dedicated to advancing American theatres and its communities, will present its Chairman’s Awards Gala April 9 at The Pierre New York (2 East 61st Street at Fifth Avenue).

The 40th anniversary celebration will feature the presentation of three awards: Oscar nominee Chazz Palminteri will present the Legacy Award for the works of August Wilson, six-time Tony nominee Danny Burstein will present the Creative Achievement Award to David Yazbek (The Band's Visit), and LORT President and Guthrie Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein will present the 40th Anniversary Corporate Leadership Award to Citi.

Performers will include Katrina Lenk and the musicians of The Band's Visit, Beth Leavel and Matthew Sklar performing a song from The Prom, Kathryn Bostic performing a musical tribute to August Wilson with trumpeter Eddie Allen, plus Carrie St. Louis, Telly Leung, Julia Murney, and Zak Resnick performing a 40th anniversary medley arranged by Geraldine Anello and choreographed by Patrick O'Neill.

There will also be a toast for Carey Perloff, outgoing artistic director of American Conservatory Theater; George Smith, former Theatre Forward Board Member, and SpongeBob SquarePants' Ethan Slater and Mean Girls' Taylor Louderman will also discuss the importance of theatre education.

The gala will include cocktails, dinner, performances, and live and silent auctions. Auction proceeds will benefit the creation of theatrical works and theatre education programs across the country.

The Patron and Co-Chair Tables are priced at $25,000. Benefactor Tables are priced at $15,000, and Sponsor Tables are priced at $10,000. Ticket pricing is as follows: $2,500 (Patron Ticket), $1,000 (Individual Ticket).
