That's when the American Heartland Theatre in Kansas City, MO, revives the revue, to be directed and choreographed by Gordon McClure.

The show, evocative of Harlem in its heyday, includes plenty of Waller's signature slide piano flourishes and nearly three dozen songs he wrote and/or recorded, from "Honeysuckle Rose" to "Two Sleepy People" and "The Joint is Jumpin!"

Starring in Ain't Misbehavin' are Kansas City cabaret favorite Queen Bey, Michael J. Bobbitt, John Steven Crowley, Cynthia Thomas and Kara Tameika Watkins.
