News Keala Settle, Heidi Blickenstaff, Steven Pasquale and More Honor Women in Theatre at Lilly Awards Benefit Tonight The Lilly Awards Broadway Cabaret, featuring Broadway stars performing songs written by women, is presented Nov. 10 at Birdland.

The event benefits The Lilly Awards Foundation, whose mission is to promote gender parity at all levels of theatrical production and develop and celebrate the work of women in the theatre.

The concert includes Brooks Ashmanskas, David Beach, Heidi Blickenstaff, Jenn Colella, Gretchen Cryer, Jason Danieley, Katrina Rose Dideriksen, Nancy Ford, Matt Gallagher, Adam Guettel, Caitlin Kinnunen, Sydney Lucas, Debra Monk, Kathleen Elizabeth Monteleone, Cass Morgan, Jim Newman, Keala Settle, Douglas Sills, Dale Soules, Elizabeth Stanley, Maria Thayer, Jessica Vosk, Adrienne Warren, Kate Wetherhead, and The Broadway Boys as well as special appearances by Jason Robert Brown, Carol Hall, Steven Pasquale and Valerie Vigoda.

The evening is directed by Daisy Prince with musical direction by Georgia Stitt; it is co-produced by Amanda Green and Stitt.

A VIP reception begins at 5:30 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the performances begin at 7 PM.

Founded by Julia Jordan, Marsha Norman and Theresa Rebeck, the Lilly Awards were started in spring 2010 as a way to honor the work of women in the American theatre. The awards are named for Lillian Hellman, a pioneering American playwright who said, "You need to write like the devil and act like one when necessary."

Birdland is located at 315 W. 44th Street in NYC. Tickets range from $50 to $250 and can be purchased at thelillyawards.org or artful.ly.
