The play, originally set in Whitley Bay and premiered at Newcastle's Live Theatre in 2003, has been relocated to South West London for this new production, that will be directed by Richard Wilson, who previously directed the premieres of  Bean's Toast and Under the Whaleback, both at the Royal Court. Bean's best known play is One Man, Two Guvnors, which has run on Broadway and is still running in the West End.



In the play, The Robinsons have run a successful — if completely dodgy ­— family business since the 1960s. They have a comfortable house in the suburbs and expensive cars in the drive. But the younger generation isn't like their dad. And the police are getting interested.



Keith Allen and Denise Welch star as the reprobate parents, with their troublesome offspring played by Harry Melling, Kate Lamb and Matthew Wilson.



Allen was last seen on the stage in Comedians at the Lyric Hammersmith. Recent TV includes "Bodyfarm" for the BBC and "Treasure Island" and "The Runaway" for Sky.

Welch is best known for her television roles as Natalie Barnes in "Coronation Street" and Steph Haycock in "Waterloo Road." Stage credits include The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (at Manchester's Royal Exchange, winning Best Actress at the Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards in 2004) and Steel Magnolias (U.K. tour). . 

Melling is best knwon for playing Dudley Dursley in five of the "Harry Potter" films. Recent stage credits include When Did You Last See My Mother at Trafalgar Studios and Deborah Warner's production of School for Scandal at the Barbican.
