Penned by Tucker Cawley ("Everybody Loves Raymond"), the situation comedy casts Grammer as a "corporate tycoon who reconnects with his family after being downsized out of his powerful job," according to Variety. The pilot, the industry paper states, comes from Warner Bros. TV and Tom Werner's Good Humor TV.
ABC recently passed on another Grammer comedy, an adaptation of the British sitcom "Roman's Empire."
Grammer was most recently seen in the now-canceled FOX series "Back to You."
Kelsey Grammer played Dr. Frasier Crane on three different TV series: "Frasier," "Cheers" and "Wings." For that role he won four Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes and a SAG Award. Grammer has been seen on Broadway in Othello and Macbeth; his other theatrical credits include Richard II, Measure for Measure and Sweeney Todd.
