Emmy Award winner Kelsey Grammer, who, on Jan. 19, returned to the role of Captain Hook — the part he originated when Finding Neverland arrived on Broadway in March 2015 — ends his extended run at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre April 3.

The stage and screen star will temporarily be succeeded by Paul Slade Smith. Grammer's full-time replacement will be named shortly.

Best-known for his work on TV's Cheers and Frasier, Grammer has been seen on Broadway in Macbeth, Othello and La Cage aux Folles.

Based on the Academy Award-winning Miramax motion picture by David Magee, and the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan by Allan Knee, Finding Neverland "follows the relationship between playwright J. M. Barrie and the family that inspired Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up – one of the most beloved stories of all time," according to press notes.

Finding Neverland features direction by Diane Paulus (Pippin, Hair) with a book by Olivier Award nominee James Graham, music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and Grammy Award winner Eliot Kennedy, and choreography by Emmy Award winner Mia Michaels ("So You Think You Can Dance").

The production also has scenic design by Tony Award winner Scott Pask (Pippin, Book of Mormon), lighting design by Tony Award winner Kenneth Posner (The Coast of Utopia, Pippin), costume design by Suttirat Larlarb (Of Mice and Men) and sound design by Tony Award nominee Jonathan Deans (Pippin, La Cage aux Folles).
