News Kennedy and Massey Will Join the Broadway Boys for Birdland Concert Recent Spamalot star Lauren Kennedy and Wicked's Brandi Chavonne Massey will join the Broadway Boys for their upcoming concert at Birdland.

The March 19 concert, directed by Schele Williams, will feature the Boys' pop, jazz, gospel and funk takes on Broadway standards. Among the Broadway Boys participating in the 7 PM concert will be Mary Poppins' Jesse Nager, Spelling Bee's Maurice Murphy, The Pirate Queen's Daniel Torres, Mamma Mia!'s Michael James Scott, Hairspray's Peter Matthew Smith and Altar Boyz's Danny Calvert.

Justin Paul will be the evening's musical director.

Lauren Kennedy was most recently seen on the New York stage as the Lady of the Lake in the Tony-winning musical Spamalot. She covered the role of Daisy Hilton in the Broadway production of Side Show and also appeared in the New York companies of Sunset Boulevard and Les Misérables. Kennedy starred in The Rhythm Club and was also a part of the early incarnations of Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years, playing the role that would be played Off-Broadway by Sherie Rene Scott, when Kennedy crossed the Atlantic to star in the National Theatre's revival of South Pacific. Kennedy also appeared in The Ten Commandments: The Spectacle Musical, and her debut solo CD is titled "The Songs of Jason Robert Brown."

On Broadway Brandi Chavonne Massey has been seen in Wicked; Caroline, or Change; and Jekyll & Hyde. She starred in the West End production of The Lion King, and her Off-Broadway credits include Ghetto Superstar, Carmen Jones, Hair and Caroline, or Change. She has also appeared in regional productions of Once On This Island and The Wiz.
