News Kerry O'Malley, Out of the Woods, Joins Atlantic's Dublin Carol Kerry O'Malley, who spent 2002 as the Baker's Wife in Broadway's Into the Woods, has joined the cast of Off-Broadway's Dublin Carol, the play by Irish writer Conor McPherson.

O'Malley replaced Amy Ryan, who left to pursue a television job. The show also stars the previously-announced Keith Nobbs and Jim Norton. Carol will make its New York debut at the Atlantic Theater Company. Performances begin Feb. 4. Opening is Feb. 20.

Nobbs was recently seen at Manhattan Theatre Club in Christopher Shinn's Four. He got his first break in WPA's Stupid Kids. Jim Norton is a McPherson veteran, having starred in Broadway's The Weir.

McPherson himself will direct. Broadway producer David Richenthal holds the rights to any commercial transfer.

The play is a three-character drama about an aging funeral director, his young protégé and his estranged daughter, and has been previously staged at London's Royal Court.

Other McPherson plays to reach New York are St. Nicholas and This Lime Tree Bower, both at Primary Stages; The Good Thief, presented by the Keen Company; and The Weir, on Broadway. So far this season, the Atlantic has presented George S. Kaufman's Butter and Egg Man and Joe Penhall's Blue/Orange.
