News Kevin Kraft, Catherine LeFrere, Robert J. Townsend and Mike Backes Cast in NYMF's Really Bad Things Casting has been announced for the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival special event production of Really Bad Things, which will begin performances at the PTC Performance Space July 12.

Directed by Marc Eardley, the cast will feature Kevin Kraft, Catherine LeFrere, Robert J. Townsend and Mike Backes with Vanessa Dunleavy, Suzanne Dressler, Max Chernin, Curtis Howard, Christine Howard and Lisa Fiebert.

Really Bad Things, which was inspired by the DC Madam and Lobbyist scandal of the mid-2000s, features music and lyrics by Nick Messitte. The musical is described as such: "Have you heard? Really Bad Things are happening in Washington D.C.! A Lobbyist is blissfully engaged in indecent activities…while a conservative Senator tries to hide his desire for hookers and diapers…and a Georgetown Madam is operating an escort service with a client list that includes Ambassadors, Congressmen and…even-more-powerful others? Could it be all three are connected? Really? A musical tale of power, sex and greed in our nation’s capital!"

The production will feature music direction, orchestrations and arrangements by Nathan Siler, choreography by Leasen Almquist, dramaturgy by Stacey Weingarten and lighting design by Ryan Metzler.

Performances are scheduled for July 12 at 4:30 PM, July 13 at 10:30 PM and July 19 at 4:30 PM.

Tickets, priced $20, are available by calling Ovationtix at (212) 352-3101 or by visiting www.nymf.org. The PTC Performance Space is located at 555 West 42nd Street.
