According to Deadline, "Billionaire Boys Club," which is written by James Cox and Captain Mauzner and directed by Cox, "centers on the true-life tale of Joe Hunt, who built an investment pool that made him the center of attention in L.A. in the 1980s. It also was built on fraud and schemes, and Hunt ended up murdering a Beverly Hills high-roller whose investment didn’t pan out." Holly Wiersma and Cassian Elwes will produce the film.
Spacey will star as Ron Levin, "the guy who represents the smart money and the fast lifestyle, rubbing elbows at Spago with Andy Warhol."
"'Baby Driver' follows a crime boss who coerces a young, talented getaway driver to work for him. The kid relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best but must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom."
Spacey would play "a veteran criminal who has worked his way up the ladder to bigger and bigger scores with a stable of go-to professionals."
"Baby Driver" will be written and directed by Edgar Wright. Eric Fellner, Tim Bevan and Nira Park will produce.
"Baby Driver" is set to be released March 17, 2017. "Billionaire Boys Club" has not yet set a release date.
