Directed by former Actors Theatre directing intern Lila Neugebauer (assistant director and dramaturg of The Edge of Our Bodies at the 2011 Humana Festival), performances will continue through April 7.

The cast includes Rebecca Hart (A Devil at Noon at the 35th Humana Festival), Khrystyne Haje ("Head of the Class"), Daphne Gaines (Actors Theatre's A Christmas Carol), Maya Lawson's (The K of D: An Urban Legend at Magic Theatre) Gisela Chipe (Actors Theatre's Dracula) and Kristin Villanueva (The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle at the Singapore Arts Festival).

Here's how the work is billed: "Lila grew up in an ashram, but she does not want to go to yoga class with you. Not because she doesn't like stretching or has no discipline or worries she might be bad at it. Not because she doesn't like you. The reason Lila doesn't want to go to yoga class is not easy to explain — but let her try. A disarming look at the precarious process of becoming yourself."

Avidon's play Breaks & Bikes recently premiered at Pavement Group in Chicago, and her other work has been produced by Target Margin Theater, On the Boards, angry BLVD and Williams College Summer Theater Lab, and developed by Playwrights Horizons, Bay Area Playwrights Festival, IRT Theater, Seattle Repertory Theatre, New Century Theater Company and A Collection of Shiny Objects.

Other members of the creative team include Andrew Lieberman (scenic designer), Ásta Bennie Hostette (costume designer), Brian H. Scott (lighting designer) and Darron L. West (sound designer). The 2013 Humana Festival of New American Plays — underwritten for the 33rd consecutive year by the Louisville-based Humana Foundation — runs Feb. 27-April 7 and showcases six full-length plays, including world premieres by Jeff Augustin, Mallery Avidon, Will Eno, Rinne Groff, Lucas Hnath, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Marks, Sarah Ruhl and Anne Washburn.
