News Kim Hunter Picks a Queens Daisy Oct. 4-6 Kim Hunter, who won a Donaldson and Critics' Award for her portrayal of Stella in the original 1949 A Streetcar Named Desire, on Broadway (she later won the Oscar and Golden Globe for the film), will play Miss Daisy in Driving Miss Daisy at Queens Theatre In The Park in Queens, N.Y. Hunter's Streetcar co-star, Jessica Tandy, played the role in the movie version of Alfred Uhry's comedy/drama.

Kim Hunter, who won a Donaldson and Critics' Award for her portrayal of Stella in the original 1949 A Streetcar Named Desire, on Broadway (she later won the Oscar and Golden Globe for the film), will play Miss Daisy in Driving Miss Daisy at Queens Theatre In The Park in Queens, N.Y. Hunter's Streetcar co-star, Jessica Tandy, played the role in the movie version of Alfred Uhry's comedy/drama.

William Jay Marshall will play Hoke, the chauffeur, and Jonathan Bustle will portray the son in this production, which is directed by Peter Bennett.

Darkness At Noon and The Children's Hour are only a few of Hunter's other Broadway credits. Moviegoers also know her for her work in the first three "Planet Of The Apes" movies.
