Entitled Kritzerland, the fledgling label will debut in mid-July with the release of two new recordings. The premiere disc is a cast recording of the recent Irish Repertory Theatre production of After the Ball. That Noël Coward musical, directed by Tony Walton, starred Kathleen Widdoes, Mary Illes, Kristin Huxhold, Paul Carlin, David Staller, Collette Simmons, Greg Mills, Josh Grisetti, Drew Eshelman and Elizabeth Ingram. Mark Hartman is the musical director for the CD, which was recently recorded at Right Track Studios. "New Guy in Town" is the title of the second recording, a follow-up to "Haines His Way." The CD will feature Guy Haines dueting with Kerry Butler, Juliana A. Hansen and Jessica Rush. With musical direction by Grant Geissman, the CD boasts a new song by Craig Carnelia and a never before-heard tune by Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones. Other composers represented on the recording include Rodgers and Hart, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Bacharach and David, Jerome Kern and Ira Gershwin.
Kritzerland recordings will be available on-line at a website to be announced shortly. The CDs will also be on sale at select stores across the country.
