This week on Playbill's The Tyler Mount Vlog, Mount welcomes J. Harrison Ghee, who currently stars on Broadway as the fabulous Lola in Kinky Boots. The actor opens up about what the character has taught him in his personal life, his love of performance, and how to recover after falling onstage.

Ghee first stepped into Lola's heels on Broadway in spring 2017, prior to which he played the role in the Kinky Boots national tour. The North Carolina-born Ghee has been seen regionally in The Color Purple, as well as on television in High Maintenance. He previously performed as drag diva Crystal Demure, who for several years hosted a weekly show in New York City.

Kinky Boots celebrated its five-year anniversary on Broadway April 4 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The winner of six 2013 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Kinky Boots features a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Tony winner Harvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell.
