Shane McRae will begin as Jason on July 15. McRae recently received his M.F.A. from NYU's Graduate Acting Program where he appeared in such plays as Henry IV part 1 (Hotspur), The Seagull (Trigorin), The Marriage of Bette and Boo, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Misalliance, and a self-created work inspired by Salmon Rushdie's "Midnight's Children" called In the Sundarbans.
Richard Greenberg's play about the incident-packed season of a Yankees-like ball team won the 2003 Tony for Best Play, plus Tonys for Best Direction (Joe Mantello) and Best Featured Actor in a Play (Denis O'Hare).
Performances continue at the Walter Kerr Theatre.
