Chenoweth (Promises, Promises; Wicked) appears as auditioning actress/singer Cindy Ruehl, with Rivera (Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink, West Side Story, Chicago) playing experimental director/choreographer Gladys Franklin. Broadway's Max von Essen (Xanadu tour) is also seen as Cameron Dante, an actor who makes a spontaneous decision in a casting meeting, with Barrett Foa (Avenue Q) as over-the-top auditioner Gil Bure.
