The award-winning artist is being honored in "recognition of her renowned creative accomplishments as well as her philanthropic work, which has included an extraordinary range of charitable activities over the years," according to press notes.
Among those scheduled to entertain at the starry evening are Tony Bennett, Seal, Donna Summer, BeBe Winans, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Beck, Herbie Hancock, LeAnn Rimes, Diana Krall, Barry Manilow, Kristin Chenoweth, Nikki Yanofsky and "Glee" cast members Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison and Darren Criss. Streisand will close the evening with her own performance.
Proceeds from the annual Person of the Year tribute provide support for MusiCares, which "ensures that music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical and personal need."
