PlayBlog Kristin Chenoweth Performs "I Want Somebody" on "Live! With Regis & Kelly" (Video) Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth (You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown; Wicked; Promises, Promises) filled in for Kelly Ripa to co-host "Live! With Regis & Kelly" with Regis Philbin on June 15.

The performer interviewed People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive," Ryan Reynolds, as well as Larry the Cable Guy and then concluded her appearance on "Live!" with a performance of her new single "I Want Somebody!"

"I Want Somebody!" is the first song to be released off of Chenoweth's upcoming country-pop album, "Some Lessons Learned," due Sept. 13 on the Sony Masterworks label. When talking to Playbill.com at the recent US Open ticket sales event in Times Square, the performer shared how "super excited" she is about the album release.

"Diane Warren wrote ['I Want Somebody!']," Chenoweth told Playbill.com. "She said, 'You got to do a country record,' and I said, 'That is what I did growing up, but I don't know if I'll be accepted that way.'" Warren insisted, set her up with producer Bob Ezrin, and the rest is history.

"So really I have Diane Warren to thank for everything—it's really her—and I'm really super excited for people to hear it," she added.
