According to the Hollywood Reporter, Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn star in the film as a couple who find themselves stranded over the holidays due to bad weather. The cancellation of their out-of-town holiday getaway means the couple must visit each of their divorced parents on Christmas day. Chenoweth will play Witherspoon's type-A personality sister, with Academy Award winner Mary Steenburgen portraying their mother. The Oscar-winning cast also features Robert Duvall and Sissy Spacek as Vaughn's parents.

Documentary filmmaker Seth Gordon directs the film slated for release in the 2008 holiday season.

Kristin Chenoweth can currently be seen as Olive Snook on the quirky ABC series "Pushing Daisies." Her film credits include "Running with Scissors," "Deck the Halls," "Stranger Than Fiction" and "Bewitched." Chenoweth won a Tony Award for You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, and originated the role of Glinda in the musical Wicked. The actress is currently in negotiations to make her West End debut as Cunegonde in Leonard Bernstein's Candide.
