Casting is now complete for the one-night-only concert presentation of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Woods July 8 at 7:30 PM at New York City’s The Town Hall. The evening, presented by Cleveland Musical Theatre, features Broadway actors with ties to Ohio.
The final additions to the cast include Maureen McGovern (Little Women) as Cinderella’s Stepmother, Kristy Cates (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) as Cinderella’s Mother, and Julie James, host of SiriusXM’s On Broadway, as The Narrator.
They join the previously announced Alice Ripley as The Witch, Tony Yazbeck as The Baker, Kate Shindle as The Baker’s Wife, Betsy Wolfe as Cinderella, Caitlin Houlahan as Little Red, Jordan Matthew Brown as Jack, Pamela Myers as Jack’s Mother, Lee Wilkof as Mysterious Man, Kaley Ann Voorhees as Rapunzel, Zach Adkins as Rapunzel’s Prince, John Riddle as Cinderella’s Prince, Antoinette Comer as Florinda, Tee Boyich as Lucinda, Matt Bogart as The Wolf, Timothy Warmen as Cinderella’s Father, Melvin Tunstall III as The Steward, and Susan Blackwell as the voice of The Giant.
Cleveland Musical Theatre Artistic Director Miles J. Sternfeld directs the concert with choreography by Martín Céspedes, scenic design by Gabriel Firestone, costume design by Sydney Gallas, lighting design by Zach Blane, sound design by Patrick La Chance, hair/makeup design by Robbie Amodeo, stage management by Giles T. Horne, and casting by Jamibeth Margolis, CSA.
