The star-studded panel discussions, created by ATW Chairman of the Board Isabelle Stevenson, provide audiences with a behind-the-scenes look at Broadway and Off-Broadway theatre from the personalities who created it.
On Oct. 28 (11 AM-1 PM), the ATW presents a "Playwright/ Director/ Choreographer Seminar" featuring Jonathan Butterell (Nine), Arthur Kopit (Nine), Joey McKneely (The Boy From Oz), Theresa Rebeck (Omnium Gatherum) and Susan H. Schulman (The Sound of Music), moderated by Jeffrey Eric Jenkins.
The next event, a "Production Seminar" will occur Oct. 29 (11-1 PM). Lonny Price (Master Harold, A Class Act) will moderate the discussion slated to include Avenue Q composer-lyricists Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, librettist Jeff Whitty, puppeteer and creator Rick Lyon, press agent Sam Rudy and producer Jeffrey Seller.
Later the same day (2-4 PM), there will be a "Design Seminar" featuring designers David Gallo (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Donald Holder (Little Shop of Horrors), Toni-Leslie James (Ma Rainey's Black Bottom) and Tony Meolo, G.W. Mercier (Juan Darien and Catherine Zuber (Dinner at Eight).
The series will close with an Oct. 30 "Performance Seminar" (11 AM-1 PM) featuring Marc Kudisch (The Thing About Men), Swoosie Kurtz (Imaginary Friends), Rebecca Luker (Nine), Lewis J. Stadlen (The Producers) and others TBA as moderated by Pia Lindstrom.
