News Kux, Morrison, Rooth and Cirie Set for Noises Off at Hartford Stage Casting has been announced for the Hartford Stage production of Michael Frayn's popular backstage comedy Noises Off, which begins performances April 23.

Malcolm Morrison directs the production, which officially opens April 29 and runs through May 17.

The cast of Noises Off features Bill Kux (Lloyd Dallas), David Andrew Macdonald (Frederick Fellowes/Philip Brent), Johanna Morrison (Dotty Otley/Mrs. Clacket), Noble Shropshire (Selsdon Mobray/Burglar), Michael Bakkensen (Gary Lejeune/Roger Tramplemain), Andrea Cirie (Belinda Blair/Flavia Brent), Liv Rooth (Brooke Ashton/Vicki), Veronique Hurley (Poppy Norton-Taylo) and Daniel Toot (Tim Allgood).

"In Noises Off, doors slam, identities are confused and chaos reigns in this hilarious farce that follows a motley and disorganized theatre company as they rehearse, perform and, well, just try to make it through Nothing On as the never-ending theatrical mishaps snowball out of control," read press notes.

Designing the Hartford production are set designer Tony Straiges, costume designer Ilona Somogyi, lighting designer Rui Rita and sound designer and composer David Stephen Baker.
