Realizing the importance of nurturing and encouraging young artists, artistic director Christian Wolf, states "Our goal is to offer new talent the ability to see their written works produced on stage in an atmosphere that is supportive to their creativity. Winning writers will be asked to attend auditions and rehearsals so that their input can be sought."

Winning plays will be staged at the Depot Theatre during an exclusive two-week run from January 10-18, 1997 with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 PM and Sunday at 2:30 PM.
