With raves from the Los Angles Times, the Hollywood Reporter and BackStage West, that fabulous diva Lypsinka has the momentum to extend her Boxed Set through July 8 in Los Angeles. Lypsinka! The Box Set, starring actor John Epperson, began performances at the Tiffany Theatre May 3 for a run originally set through June 10.

The Box Set ran twice Off-Broadway in 2000, most recently in a five-month run at the Westbeth Theatre. As in Lypsinka's past extravaganzas, the concert artist performs to the soundtrack of classic divas who have been lauded around the world.

Lypsinka's star turns have been seen in I Could Go On Lip Synching Off Broadway and in Los Angeles, The Fabulous Lypsinka Show, Lypsinka! Now It Can Be Lip Synched, Lypsinka! A Day in the Life, Lypsinka! As I Lay Lip Synching and Lypsinka Must Be Destroyed! (only in San Francisco). S/he has performed in Tokyo and Paris.

Lypsinka was improbably named one of the "Women We Love" by Esquire magazine and has appeared in the films "Wigstock: The Movie," "Vampire's Kiss" and "Witch Hunt." Lypsinka's speaking debut on stage was in 1998's Lypsinka Is Harriet Craig!.

Kevin Malony, a longtime Lypsinka collaborator, directs The Boxed Set. He is artistic director of TWEED, a downtown New York producing organization focused on alternative arts. His credits as writer-director include Varla Jean Merman Is The Bad Seedling. Designers are Jim Boutin (set) and Mark T. Simpson (lighting).

Tickets are $35-$48.50. The Tiffany Theatre is at 8532 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. Visit Lypsinka's web site at www.lypsinka.com. For ticket information, call (310) 289-2999.
