Love is like lemonade..." one character remarks in Michael T. Folie's new comedy Lemonade, playing the Tamarind Theatre Aug. 11-Sept. 16. Music video helmer Sean Alquist directs.

In the play, four people - two men and two women - revolve around one another in a game of sex. Carl and Jim debate feminism, while pricing women as whores, then later Carl tries to get Jim interested in a relationship with his "friend" Betsy. Too bad Betsy is already sleeping with Carl, despite the PR man's wife, Jane. After a little consultation with Betsy and his subsequent meetings with Jane, Jim joins forces with "the other woman" to break up Carl and Jane's marriage.

Lemonade stars Maxwell Caulfield, Heather Tom, Hugh O'Gorman and Laura Rogers. O'Gorman starred in "The 10th Kingdom," "Remember WENN" and the recent Los Angeles revival of The Philadelphia Story. Caulfield appeared in "Grease 2," "Empire Records" and the mini-series "Gettysburg." Tom is Victoria on "The Young and the Restless."
