News L.A. Playwrights Showcased in Feb. 12 'Voices' Fest LOS ANGELES -- A world premiere festival of short plays by Los Angeles writers, Voices , will be mounted Feb. 12 at the St. Ambrose Art Center for a two-week run.

LOS ANGELES -- A world premiere festival of short plays by Los Angeles writers, Voices , will be mounted Feb. 12 at the St. Ambrose Art Center for a two-week run. Nine one-acts written by members of the Playwright's Group and Los Angeles Women's Workshop are on the bill, which is produced by Bryna Weiss, Eugenie Devane, Annie Glass Henshel and Johanna Levine.

Such playwrights as Theodore Apstein, Mann Rubin, Marion Wagman and James F. Tavares are represented, as well as directors Iris Merlis, Jacky de Haviland and Robert Symonds.

Performances are Thurs., Fri. & Sat. at 7.30 PM; Sun. at 4 PM. St Ambrose Art Center is at 1261 N. Fairfax. Tix are pay-what-you-can. Call (213) 892-6825.
