Terry Kinney (One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest) directs the MCC Theater staging slated to officially open June 2 at Off-Broadway's Lucille Lortel Theatre for a limited run through July 5.

In reasons to be pretty, press notes state, "Greg's tight-knit social circle is thrown into turmoil when his offhanded remarks about a female coworker's pretty face (and his girlfriend's lack thereof) get back to said girlfriend."

The work billed as a "comic drama" delves into the American obsession with physical beauty — closing a trilogy of works with that same theme that includes The Shape of Things and Fat Pig.

Perabo is known for her film turns in "Coyote Ugly," "The Prestige" "Cheaper by the Dozen 2" and "Because I Said So."

Recently seen on Broadway in Mauritius, Pill has also starred onstage in Blackbird, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, On the Mountain and MCC's own The Distance from Here. The actress is also known for film work including "Dan in Real Life," "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen," "Pieces of April" and the upcoming "Milk." Sadoski is a stage veteran of Reckless, This Is Our Youth, Gemini, All This Intimacy, Stay, Where We're Born, The Mistakes Madeline Made and Jump/Cut.

Schreiber earned a Tony Award nomination for his Broadway debut in Awake and Sing! He has also appeared in Dying City, Mr. Marmalade, Manuscript, Sin: A Cardinal Deposed, Blood Orange and Julius Caesar.

For LaBute, the company's resident playwright, this is his sixth work produced by the company. MCC previously presented LaBute's The Mercy Seat, The Distance From Here, Fat Pig, Some Girl(s) and In a Dark Dark House. MCC also produced a one-night benefit evening of his plays, Autobahn. Other LaBute works include bash: latter-day plays, The Shape of Things, This Is How It Goes and Wrecks and the films "In the Company of Men," "Your Friends and Neighbors," "Nurse Betty," "Possession" and "Wicker Man."

Tickets to reasons to be pretty at The Lucille Lortel Theatre, 121 Christopher Street, can be purchased by calling (212) 279-4200 or online at mcctheater.com.
