A free reading of Robert Emmet Lunney's For Nina will be offered September 17 at 7 PM at the June Havoc Theatre, located at 312 W. 36th St.

Presented by the Abingdon Theatre, the reading is free of charge, although reservations should be made at [email protected].

The cast comprises Florencia Lozano, Larry Pine, Quentin Maré, Brent Langdon, Madeleine Rogers and Liz Wisan. Ed Sylvanus Iskandar directs.

Inspired by Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, For Nina, according to production notes, is “set in Stockbridge, MA in the summer of 2004. Nina Dalton (Florencia Lozano) is a major movie star performing in a new play by her older, Pulitzer-Prize-winning husband, Brian Bartov (Larry Pine). Their world is shaken by the return of Gar Jackson (Quentin Maré), Nina’s former love, who has spent the past twenty years creating a work of staggering beauty and epic proportions...for Nina.”

Playwright-actor Lunney is currently guest-starring in the first season of The Exorcist for Fox TV, which premieres September 23.
