News L.A's Acme Celebrates 1,000 Perfs. and New Year's With Jubilee Los Angeles' Acme Comedy Theatre will celebrate 1,000 performances on New Year's Eve with Acme New Year's Jubilee. The one performance only show will be hosted by Teddy Towne, a lounge-lizard character created by Ted Hardwick. Other members of the Acme Players who will perform include: Adam Carolla (host of MTV's"Lovelines"); Mad TV series regulars Alex Borstein and Lisa Kushell; and Paul Rugg, star of Freakazoid.

Los Angeles' Acme Comedy Theatre will celebrate 1,000 performances on New Year's Eve with Acme New Year's Jubilee. The one performance only show will be hosted by Teddy Towne, a lounge-lizard character created by Ted Hardwick. Other members of the Acme Players who will perform include: Adam Carolla (host of MTV's"Lovelines"); Mad TV series regulars Alex Borstein and Lisa Kushell; and Paul Rugg, star of Freakazoid. A buffet dinner will be served at 9 PM, with curtain for the performance at 10.30 PM. Party hats, noisemakers and a champagne toast are included in the $50 ticket. 135 N. LaBrea Ave., Hollywood.
