Drag queens, feminists, music and food -- It's time to open your minds and your stomachs as California's Big Queen Productions presents Patricia Cotter and Kevin M. Mitchell's Fat!.

The creators of Go Aks Alice and Darling Quints attempt to satirize obsession with body image in their new musical extravaganza. Set at the Fat Chance Fat Farm, six sturdy women seek to achieve their dream of angular proportions. In a society of thin people, each woman faces her own dilemma of image, from anorexia to compulsive eating disorders to low self-esteem.

With the help of musical numbers, Fat! is being promoted as "a big fat-ass, multi-gender, drag queen feminist musical love story about food."

Fat! directed by Michael Angelo Stuno, starring Divinity Fudge and Tim Bennett opens May 14 at the Celebration Theater in Santa Monica California for a run through June. For ticket information call (323) 666 1647.
