News L.A.'s Free Family Series Continues at 24th St. Theatre Part Two of the "Saturday Explorer Series," a series of free performances for families, has been announced by the 24th Street Theatre and the Glorious Repertory Company, which has been in residence at the theatre ever since it opened three years ago.

Part Two of the "Saturday Explorer Series," a series of free performances for families, has been announced by the 24th Street Theatre and the Glorious Repertory Company, which has been in residence at the theatre ever since it opened three years ago. The Explorer series is funded by a grant from USC Neighborhood Outreach. Part one was so well attended that practically every performance was filled to capacity. Part two commences Feb. 13, when Timothy Busfield brings members of his Sacramento B Street (children's) Theatre to perform Moby Dick. All performances are on Saturdays at 1 PM. The full schedule: Feb. 20: Bob Baker's Marionette Theatre; Feb. 27: The Wonder Faire, a one-man show starring Gideon Potter; Mar. 6: A Village Fable: In the Suicide Mountains, a musical by P.L.A.Y. (Performing for Los Angeles Youth), a multiethnic touring theatre for young people produced by the Mark Taper Forum; Mar. 13: A Tap of the Toe and a Wag of the Tongue: Irish Dance and Story, a celebration of St. Patrick's Day by storyteller Milbre Burch and dancers from The Art of the Dance Company, who do spirited Irish Step Dancing; Mar. 20: Mime Over Matter, a mime show by Keith Burger and Sharon Diskin, a duo known as "The Chameleons."
