News LA's Lonely Planet Benefits BC/EFA The Fountain Theatre of Hollywood opens its benefit run of Steven Dietz's Lonely Planet, raising funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids and its own in-house HIV acting workshop, VOICES, on November 18. The production will run at the Matrix Theatre on Melrose, as a result of the fourth extension of the Fountain's hit Orpheus Descending, through December 22.

The Fountain Theatre of Hollywood opens its benefit run of Steven Dietz's Lonely Planet, raising funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids and its own in-house HIV acting workshop, VOICES, on November 18. The production will run at the Matrix Theatre on Melrose, as a result of the fourth extension of the Fountain's hit Orpheus Descending, through December 22.

A two-man play about the depth of love and fear in a friendship in the age of AIDS, Dietz's drama received an Outer Critics' Circle nomination and was chosen as one of the 1995 Best New-Plays in New York by Drama Logue magazine.

Philip Anglim, best known for his portrayal of the original "Elephant Man" on Broadway, will play Carl. Playing Jody is Taylor Nichols, who appeared in the films Barcelona and Metropolitan.
