It's 1945 and the Second World War has ended. Sculptor Anton Muller is being interrogated by the Americans. Why is Muller so important to the Americans and what information do they think he has? Why can't he remember anything that happened before the war, before he sculpted that mustached Austrian?

Those questions and more are brought to the fore when John Rafter Lee's Hitler's Head receives its world premiere from The Road Theatre Company (5108 Lankershim Blvd.), Mar. 13-May 9.

The Road's had a prolific 1988-99 season , with Hitler's Head added to a long list of productions including: White People, The Merchant of Venice, Tainted Blood, and The Importance of Being Earnest. For those productions, The Road received a total of five Back Stage West/Drama-Logue Awards and was nominated for three L.A. Weekly Awards and two Drama Critics Circle Awards. The Road will also be awarded the L.A. Drama Critics Circle's prestigious Margaret Hartford Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatre.
