News L.A.'s Theatre 40 Mounts One-Act Festival, Jan. 22 LOS ANGELES -- Theatre 40's ninth annual one-act festival, Fortyworks, kicks off Jan. 22.

LOS ANGELES -- Theatre 40's ninth annual one-act festival, Fortyworks, kicks off Jan. 22. Among the playwrights represented are Harry Singleton, Bea Silvern, Bernadette Hale, Frank Farmer and Grant Gottschall. Performers include Thom Koutsoukos, Milt Kogan, David Hunt Stafford, Amy Tolsky and Amy Beth Cohen.

The festival is the first to emerge from the work of Theatre 40's writers' workshop. The producer is Bea Silvern and the directors include Marla Cotowsky, Aled Davies, Jon Lawrence Rivera and Bernard Selling.

Theatre 40 is located at 241 Moreno Drive in Beverly Hills. All tickets are $12 (students, 4A Guild members and WGA members are half-price on a stand-by basis). For tickets, call (213) 876-8980 from 11 AM to 7 PM.
