The play, staged Off-Off-Broadway in association with The Glines, won the 1998 Eric Bentley New Play Competition (awarded by the New Phoenix Theatre on the Park of Buffalo) after a staging at the Adobe Theatre in Arizona.

Freeze!, through Oct. 25, features a flasher, a virgin, a parent and a redneck, icebound in a house with a "murderous misfit." The company also dubs the script "a comedy of bad manners." The cast includes Chad Beckim, Philippe Cu Leong, Nora Hummel, Lindsey Lofaso, Kevin Tiernan and Thomas F. Walsh. Francine L. Trevens directs.

Brown's News Boy, originally produced by The Glines, has been produced throughout the country, including at the Players Theatre Off Broadway.
