Chicago's American Theatre Company celebrates the frustrations of the holidays and, even more so, holiday shopping with the world premiere of One Day Only by Edward Mast, Nov. 30-Dec. 27.
Mast's farce revolves around a department store four days before Christmas. The disparate employees -- including an animated mannequin - react with paranoia when they find out their company is being bought out by an East Coast firm.
The cast forOne Day Only includes ATC company members: Kevin Robert Kelly, Ed Kross, and John Mohrlein. Other cast members include: Ann Noble Massey, Carey Peters, Suzanne Petri, Martie Sanders, and Benjamin Shields.
The American Theatre Company was founded in 1985 as American Blues Theatre.
After rentals of its space during January & February, ATC's next show will be Pledge of Allegiance, opening March 4, 1999. For tickets ($18.50-$24.50) or moreinformation, call (773) 929-1031.
