After extended its run by two months, The Fountain Theatre's production of Tennessee Williams' Summer and Smoke will close Aug. 15. The play opened May 14 and was originally slated to close June 13, but strong reviews and enthusiastic audiences kept the production afloat. Directed by Simon Levy, the production stars Tracy Middendorf as the shy, sexually-repressed Miss Alma and Cameron Dye as the earthy Dr. John Buchanan. Also starring are Brenda Ballard, Gary Ballard, Abigail Caro, Linda Cevallos, Chris Flanders, Chet Grissom, Art Kempf, Delaina Mitchell, Jack Newalu, Linnea Pyne, Paul Renferia and Cynthia Sanders.
