Los Angeles -- While school goes into session for most people around this time, Danger Zone, the four-man, three-woman comedy troupe, will end its semi-nostalgic look at student days, Sept. 3. The troupe's environmental comedy, Back to School, plays Friday evenings at 7:30 PM at Luna Park.
Danger Zone has performed at the Comedy Store, The Eclectic Company Theatre and the Upfront Comedy Club. The group is comprised of working actors and comedians.
Back to School recreates the horror and ecstasy of lower education with its infamous prom queens, jocks and bullies. It also satirizes such high school events as electing a student council president, singing the school song, enduring cafeteria lunches and popularity contests.
The show features Joe Bays, Lenore Braun, Sharon Goldstein, Shane Jacobson, Mike Orenstein, Brian Spillane and Marylee Zurick. The director is Steven Helgoth.
Luna Park is located at 665 N. Robertson Blvd. For tickets and information call (310) 840- 2395. -- By Willard Manus
